Edit: the only reason there are suddenly so many 5-star reviews is because they offer a discount and free gift if you leave the review and show it to the employee! How sad!!
I consigned a dress for a year and a half and constantly asked if it was sold. I was always told it hadnât been sold yet. I eventually began to suspect something was fishy so I went in to have them pull it for me. They took days so I went back in and the owner, (Tracy), told me that it was sold a while back and that they emailed me â7 timesâ and I didnât respond. Per contract, that would mean I donât get my cut of the money because they tried contacting me and I didnât respond. I logged onto my email in front of her and told her I had no emails and she began to get angry and say she wasnât going to argue with me. So I finally asked her, âso whatâs my email then? You should have it on file if you emailed me 7 whole timesâ. She scrolled and scrolled and guess what? No email. She said she would contact me. She didnât of course. I finally spoke to another employee who was sooo sweet and she said she would look in all their inventory (which some of it was out of the state at the time). My $800 designer dress was no where to be found. It took months of them âlookingâ. Finally, after pleads, I got a sorry check in the mail for a...
Read moreI very rarely leave reviews like this but... I bought my daughter's military ball dress today. I originally left a five-star review... but upon getting home and examining the dress I'm livid. I get that it is a consignment... I get the dresses are used... but I would think the damage would be noted and priced accordingly. Not covered up and undisclosed, especially at the price I spent on this dress. I was unable to fully examine the dress in the store as the moment my daughter took it off it was put back in the bag and rushed away. Felt pressured to hurry up and make the sale the entire time we were there, despite the shop being dead. It feels like we were swindled. Spent over $450 dollars on a dress in which one strap is broken, the applique is damaged (ripped and frayed) near the zipper (which the attendant who had to zip her up would have definitely seen), and THE ENTIRE LINING IS RIPPED FROM THE STITCHING. Completely unsewn and hanging. It is not a two-minute fix either. My daughter's military ball is Saturday. I have to pray that this can be fixed because I was told "All Sales are Final".... All of this on top of having it taken up and a sheer panel put in.... $450 for a falling apart dress... I can honestly say I will never...
Read moreThis place is AMAZING. Ash &T's formal wear is the best find I've found for formal wear in the ENTIRE area hands down (and we've shopped ALL around- even as far as in Mount Pleasant !)
They take ALL the stress out of having to buy your teenage daughter's formal dress. I had no idea there was a place such as this; a place that does all the work for the parent/customer by taking care of the whole buying experience from beginning to end. I literally sat in a comfy laissez chair the whole time and just watched while Tracy, Anna Grace, and Jordan catered to my daughter's desires, helping her find her perfect dress! The stock and variety of dresses they have seem almost endless! The place is HUGE on the inside. THEN....TO TOP IT ALL OFF, they kept us within our budget and offered us THE BEST price, beating BY FAR, all other stores prices! It was an unbelievable experience.
Had no idea buying a formal dress could be not only such a wonderful experience, but available to a middle class family, such as ours, who's on such a strict budget!
I will never shop anywhere else again for formal attire (plus all the neat and new functional and cosmetic accessories out there for any type of outfit!).
Thank you guys again for your help. So many...
