I booked the 10:25 pm showing for Lost City on 4/23, at around 10:20 pm I was waiting in line for concessions when a women gestured for the next customer to walk up. The couple in front of me wasn’t paying attention. I walked up to the woman at concessions and started giving my order. A woman wearing a white hoodie and dark hair pushed me out of the way. Shocked by what happened, I stood there. I told the woman in front of her actions were unnecessary. No one seemed to be listening to me. Jasmine was working concessions and she began deleting my order and taking the order of the woman who pushed me out of the way. I was stunned by the entire encounter. I began my order again, as I’m ordering Jasmine reached in front of me to give the woman her drink. I felt like Jasmine wasn’t taking the situation seriously by not taking the extra effort to make sure our interactions between this woman and I were separate. The woman again proceeded to get in my face, I told her to “get away from me” to which she replied “I’m not even touching you” which I then reminded her she had put her hands on me twice already. Jasmine seemed amused by the situation and didn’t alert her manager of the altercation. I was disappointed by the lack of prevention or conflict resolution in this situation. This woman and I ended up being in the same theater. I was by myself and left because I didn’t feel safe. When I called to speak with the manager he said “thank you for bringing this to my attention” I was disappointed for a lack of an update. I think I should have been refunded my ticket or credited back the money I paid in concessions. I’ve always been a fan of regal but the less heard I feel, the more lengths I’m going to bring awareness. This situation could have easily escalated had I not been in control of my actions. The woman should have been removed for her impulsive behavior and the staff should have been more proactive in avoiding the incident. I’ve worked in customer service for years and I’ve never encountered such a lack of action from staff before. I hope the lobby footage is looked into and corporate steps in to discuss this incident with the appropriate staff members. A negative self image to a business will result in fewer customers. Sincerely, a customer left with a...
Read moreNormally I am not one to do reviews but this was the worse movie theatre experience I've had. We've been going to Azalea since it opened. When we walked up there was nobody in the booths, no signs or anything. Someone opened the door to tell us to buy tickets at the concession. When we got to concession the register wouldn't allow the girl to finish the transaction and while she was trying to figure it out there was probably 6 or 7 other employees just hanging out. Nobody helped her. Moved to a different register and finally got tickets. During the almost 3 hour movie, there was a group of 5 or 6 people that were very loud, cell phone flashlight on, laughing, talking and running in and out of the theater. NOT ONE usher came in during the almost 3 hour movie. Several of us tried to shush them but did not work. Everyone around them was very annoyed. When I went out of the theatre I didn't see one person that worked there other than the kids that were busy at concessions. When the movie was over we spoke to what looked like a manager to let him know what had happened and that no ushers were ever seen. He didn't say anything. All he did was get on his little microphone to tell the ushers to make sure they do their rounds. This was a Friday night dinner and movie with family, all 5 of us out together. Not a cheap night for 5 people at the movies. l understand that they cannot control their patrons but having ushers walk in throughout the movie, I would assume, would help with such instances. It went from an annoyance...
Read moreWhere to begin. We haven't been to this theater in over 6 years and I was immediately reminded why today. $18 for a 3:30 movie ticket. $25 more snacks: small soda ($8.00 just for the soda which costs the theater less than $1.00), 14 tortilla chips with minimal cheese, and some Twizzlers. Self-service kiosk. Some registers take cash some don't. Dirty theater and disgusting sticky seats with carpet-style fabric that haven't been updated in 20 years. Best part was the 20 minutes of commercials that we were forced to watch before the movie started, Jesus. Not trailers, actual commercials. The actual theater smelled horrid like Olive Garden carpeting.
Theater chains like this are why people are not going to see movies any more. It's sad honestly. It shouldn't cost almost $50 for one person to see a movie with some snacks in the middle of the day. At least provide some value if you are going to charge so much...we will simply go to the Citadel Mall Imax down the road from now on. Half the price, better service, and comfortable updated recliner seats. Our family is all done with Regal moving forward. So sad to drive past one theater that is a short distance from home, just to go to one 25 minutes farther.
On a side note. Please teach your cashiers not to scoop the ice for the beverages with the cups that their hands are all over after handling people's cash and cards...it's disgusting. With all that money you are extorting from your customers you would think you could buy a $5.00 ice scoop for...
